Caroline Timmins, Marketing Director of Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty, has created a one-stop-shop properties promotion strategy for the hundreds of real estate agents her work represents. In charge of all marketing efforts at Kuper SIR in San Antonio and the Hill Country, Timmins has a lot of responsibility on her shoulders at a young age. With loyalty to her company and her hometown of San Antonio, coupled with unlimited creativity at the forefront of her ideas, Timmins has led Kuper SIR to the top of the heap when it comes to the assets it offers agents for showcasing properties in the industry. She shares on her journey within the company from intern to Marketing Director, her highly popular foodie blog she manages outside of the office, and her grandmother’s real estate career that has paved a path and example for her to follow.
On her career journey:
My marketing career has been unique in many ways. I started at Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty is an intern while still in undergrad at UT Austin. After graduation, I began full-time at the company in an entry level marketing associate role. Over the last six years I have climbed the ranks and now have the privilege of being Director of Marketing for our San Antonio and Hill Country offices. Throughout that journey, not only did I grow enormously as a person and a professional, but I had the rare opportunity to fundamentally change how the marketing department operated and elevated the marketing offerings we provide to the company and to our real estate agents. I feel that at my age it is rare to have the chance to have such an impact on the operations of an established, multi-billion–dollar company, and because of that, I take my job very seriously and do not take for granted the opportunities I have been given.
On what sets Kuper SIR marketing apart in the real estate industry:
In the Marketing Department at Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty, we approach real estate marketing completely differently from our competitors in the industry. We are a full-service department for our real estate agents, in every sense of the word. Our mission is to provide unparalleled marketing support so that our agents can focus on their clients completely while feeling entirely confident that they are receiving the highest level of marketing for themselves and their listings. Having been at the company for as many years as I have, I have seen every iteration of the marketing department and have had the fortune to observe what has worked and what hasn’t worked, and because of that I have been able to form the department into what it is today.
On her passions outside of work:
I have always had a deep love for my hometown, but after going away to Austin for college, I came back to San Antonio after graduation with a newfound respect for this city and the transformation it was undergoing. When I moved back, I found an apartment by the Pearl and immersed myself in the growing food scene. Out of that sprung a food blog and Instagram account that has grown tremendously over the last couple of years and has created the ultimate hobby for me. Through that, I have leveraged my passion for food and restaurants and married it with my marketing background to create a successful brand of its own, which has allowed me to become part of the San Antonio culinary industry.
On her personal female hero:
My grandmother, Cynthia Murray, is an inspiration to me and almost wholly responsible for my current career and success. She was one of Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty’s first employees, joining the company in the 1970s shorty after its founding and is still working for the company today. Her 40+ year career with the company in multiple management and executive roles is the reason I am part of Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty. When I was still in undergrad, unsure of what industry I should pursue, she recommended I consider real estate, and the rest is history.
