Walk Like A Woman: Aquila Mendez-Valdez

I walk with a strength that comes from my mother, a humility that comes from my daughters and a confidence that comes from my sisters, both biological and universal. I am the sum of all of the women that are in my life: friends, family and everything in between. I Walk Like A Woman because I am proud to do so, and I refuse to constrain how I walk, talk, dress or think to appease the opinions of others. I hope my daughters will always follow in the footsteps of my example as they walk through their own lives.
