Why You Should Be Drinking Matcha Tea, and How To Incorporate Matcha Konomi Into Your Kitchen With These Easy Recipes
I have been a coffee drinker since I was little. Every morning I pour a piping hot cup and as I sip it I’m reminded of special summer and winter nights in rural Connecticut sitting around the table in my grandmother’s kitchen passing around a tin full of homemade cookies talking to all of my Italian relatives. Coffee is associated with the culinary confections my soul is made of: pasta, bread, cheese, desserts and lots of love. However, as I continue exploring my wellness journey, I am passionate about discovering new tricks, tips and tastes to incorporate into my daily routine that agree a little bit better with my body than my starchy, sugary roots. The latest learned practice on my list: sipping matcha in the mornings.
I met Michelle Fraedrick through Instagram a few months ago, and we’ve become fast friends. Not only does she have an inspiring personal story that drew me to get to know her better (and the two most adorable bubbly blonde toddlers you’ve ever seen), but she has developed a recipe for organic ceremonial-grade matcha powder that has grown from a grassroots drink stand into a bustling business and a trés chic e-commerce beverage brand. From Michelle’s kitchen in Corpus Christi, TX to the great white way, Matcha Konomi made into the goodie bags at the Academy Awards last year.
To share the health benefits of Matcha and some simple recipes that will, no doubt, hook you onto this magical super powder, I invited Michelle into my kitchen for a Chit Chat & Matcha. Check out the videos of our time together and if you try it, let us know what you think! And since it’s the most wonderful time of the year, they are offering free shipping for orders $30 and above. Matcha Konomi products are the perfect stocking stuffers or Santa gifts for anyone in your life! Check everything out HERE.
