Classical Music Institute Leadership Stories: Paul Montalvo, Artistic Director / Interim Executive Director

“Dear CMI, thank you for giving me the opportunity to study music with your incredible faculty because of you, classical music will always be a part of my life.” One of our students wrote these words–words that will always be a part of my life. They encapsulate CMI’s vision: classical music education for all; to build new audiences and advocates for classical music and the arts.

Self-discipline, eye-hand coordination, heightened intellectual capabilities, and a diminishing of boundaries between people of different ethnic backgrounds are only a few of the many benefits of studying and playing an instrument. Every day I am richly rewarded by the study and appreciation of classical music and through CMI, my goal is to give every child the same opportunity.
