I feel that if a child wants to play an instrument we should put one in their hands as soon as possible. But–if the child’s family cannot afford the cost of an instrument and lessons, the world loses a potential classical music performance and fine arts patron.
The Classical Music Institute (CMI) is an organization designed to help bridge the gap between dreams and access. Through our outreach programs and summer program we help children become future musicians and carry on a legacy of performing, amateur or professional. We are changing not only individual lives, but whole communities.
CMI believes that music has no boundaries or borders. I will continue to support the work of this essential organization and make classical music accessible to everyone.
